Megan McJames competed as an Olympic ski racer in 2010, 2014, and 2018. For two of those Olympics, Megan competed as an independent. "For me, the joy of the journey, the real reward, is that in the end I was able to pursue my own goals and end on my own terms," she says. "The hardest part of being an independent skier is learning to believe in yourself again when the highest levels of the sport are telling you you’re wrong.” These days, Megan continues to follow her passion for the sport by exploring new terrain and pushing her limits as a professional freeskier.
